After a disappointing loss to the only team ahead of them in the Eastern Conference standings, a visit to their fiercest rival might be just what the Boston Bruins need to get back on track.
One night after being beaten 3-0 at home by the New York Rangers, the Bruins are back in action at Montreal in one of five games on Wednesday night's NHL schedule. NBC Sports Network will air the game in the United States beginning at 7 p.m. ET, while TSN and RDS will show the contest in Canada.
The Canadiens are also trying to bounce back from a loss -- they couldn't hold a third-period lead and were beaten 5-3 by Carolina on Monday.
Also at 7, Anaheim tries to follow up on Tuesday's 2-1 win at Minnesota when it visits Pittsburgh, where the Penguins have been off since beating Tampa Bay 4-2 on Sunday.
At 7:30, Ottawa tries to complete a two-game sweep of its swing through Florida when it visits the BankAtlantic Center for a meeting with the Panthers. Florida is back home after beating the New York Islanders 4-1 on Sunday.
Two other games begin at 10 p.m. ET. Toronto tries to rebound from Tuesday's 5-1 loss at Calgary when it visits Edmonton, and Colorado visits Vancouver. The Avs have been off since Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss at St. Louis, while Vancouver beat Phoenix 2-1 in a shootout on Monday.
