BOSTON -- Rangers forward Ruslan Fedotenko will miss his third straight game when New York faces the Boston Bruins on Tuesday night.
Fedotenko has not played since Thursday, when he took an illegal hit from Tampa Bay's Dominic Moore, who was fined $2,500 for the incident. Moore hit Fedotenko, who didn't have the puck, and drove Fedotenko's stick into his face.
Rangers coach John Tortorella said that Fedotenko doesn't have a concussion following Tuesday morning's practice, the forward's first one with the team since suffering the upper-body injury. Fedotenko said he felt better following the practice but would be a game-time decision. He did not take part in pregame warmups at TD Garden.
Stu Bickel, a defenseman by trade, will play his third straight game at forward to fill the void caused by Fedotenko's absence. Bickel played just three minutes in the Rangers' 3-2 win against the Capitals on Sunday, but he did draw a penalty in the first period.
