What do you do when you've been torched for eight points by one player and allowed eight goals to one of the NHL's weakest teams? If you're the Chicago Blackhawks, you head for Calgary and hope to redeem yourself against the Flames in one of five games on Friday's NHL schedule.
The Hawks led Thursday's game in Edmonton 2-0 early in the second period, only to see the Oilers erupt for an 8-4 victory in which Sam Gagner became the first player in more than 23 years to get eight points in a game. Chicago will try to bounce back against a Flames team coming off a 3-1 home loss to Detroit on Tuesday.
TSN will air the game in Canada, beginning at 9 p.m. ET.
Friday's action starts at 7:30 with a pair of games -- the New York Islanders visit Ottawa and Winnipeg travels to Florida. A half-hour later, Los Angeles begins a six-game trip with a visit to St. Louis.
The final game of the night matches Columbus and Anaheim at the Honda Center, beginning at 10 p.m. ET.
