For the first time in nearly three weeks, the Buffalo Sabres are home.
The Sabres host the New York Rangers in one of five games on Wednesday night's NHL schedule -- and their first game at the First Niagara Center since Jan. 14. Buffalo finished a marathon seven-game road trip on a positive note Tuesday by winning 3-1 in Montreal. The Rangers come to Western New York after a 4-3 shootout loss at New Jersey on Tuesday.
The NBC Sports Network will air the game in the United States, beginning at 7:30 p.m. TSN2 will show the game in Canada.
Two other games also start at 7:30. Pittsburgh visits Toronto looking for a sweep of a home-and-home series after winning 5-4 in a shootout on Tuesday. That game can be seen in Canada on TSN. Washington, a 4-3 overtime loser at Tampa Bay on Tuesday, visits Florida in a battle for first place in the Southeast Division.
The other two games both begin at 10:30 p.m. ET -- and will be played in Southern California. Anaheim returns after a 4-1 win at Phoenix on Tuesday to host Dallas in a game that can be seen in Canada on the NHL Network. A little bit up the highway, Los Angeles plays its first game since Jan. 23 when it hosts Columbus, which lost 6-0 at San Jose on Tuesday.
