Blackhawks activate Toews and Sharp
Chicago activates Patrick Sharp and Jonathan Toews off IR prior to Tuesday night's game
The Chicago Blackhawks activated forwards Jonathan Toews and Patrick Sharp from injured reserve prior to Tuesday night's game against in Vancouver. Both are expected to play.

Toews, 23, shares second in the NHL with 27 goals and ranks second on the Blackhawks with 50 points in 49 games this season while leading the League in faceoff percentage and takeaways. The Winnipeg native was named to the NHL All-Star team but was unable to play after missing the Hawks' final game before the break.

Sharp, 30, is tied for second on the Blackhawks with 20 goals and ranks fourth on the club with 40 points in 42 games. He has been out since injuring his wrist during the Hawks' game against Detroit on Jan. 8.

The visit to Vancouver, the opener of a nine-game road trip, will also mark the Chicago debut of center Brendan Morrison, who was acquired from Calgary during the All-Star break.
