Steven Stamkos showed why he's the NHL goal-scoring leader, beating 23 of the NHL's top guns to win the Tim Hortons NHL Elimination Shoot Out and give Team Alfredsson a victory in the 2012 Molson Canadian All-Star Skills Competition.

Stamkos was the only player to score in all three rounds of the competition. He and Team Alfredsson teammates John Tavares and Jason Pominville were the only players to get past the second round.

Team Chara advanced only three players -- Evgeni Malkin, Jarome Iginla and Kimmo Timonen -- past the first round against goaltenders Henrik Lundqvist, Brian Elliott and Jonathan Quick, each of whom allowed one goal on four tries. Team Alfredsson had six shooters -- Stamkos, Tavares, Pominville, Jason Spezza, Daniel Alfredsson and Kris Letang -- score in the first round against goaltenders Carey Price, Tim Thomas and Jimmy Howard.

Lundqvist denied Malkin, Iginla and Timonen in the second around, assuring Team Alfredsson of the victory. The final margin was 21-12.
