Alex Moodie makes 33 saves as Blades defeat Brandon Wheat Kings 3-2

SASKATOON - Alex Moodie made 33 saves and Nick Zajac, Michael Burns and Kyle Schmidt each scored as the Saskatoon Blades defeated the Brandon Wheat Kings 3-2 on Friday in the Western Hockey League.

Mark Stone and Michael Ferland replied for Brandon (23-21-3), which converted once on four power-play chances.

Both netminders were solid in the game, with Brandon Anderson turning away 43 of 46 shots.

The Blades (28-18-1) scored once on three power-play opportunities and now leads the season series 4-2.
