NHL Network to air Canadiens-Penguins
NHL Network viewers in the United States will get to see if the Habs can get their weekend off to a good start when they visit Pittsburgh.
The Montreal Canadiens know they need to start putting together some wins to get back into the Eastern Conference playoff race. NHL Network viewers in the United States will get to see if they can get their weekend off to a good start when the Habs visit Pittsburgh in one of four games on Friday's NHL schedule.

The Canadiens enter the weekend 13th in the East after a 3-0 home loss to Washington on Wednesday. They'll be facing a Pittsburgh team that went into Madison Square Garden on Thursday and beat the New York Rangers 4-1.

Fans in the United States can tune into the NHL Network, beginning at 7 p.m. ET. RDS will air the game in Canada.

The Capitals will try to build on the win at Montreal when they visit Carolina in another 7 p.m. ET start. The 'Canes have had a couple of days off since losing 2-1 in a shootout at Pittsburgh on Tuesday.

The other two games both get under way at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Florida will try to bounce back from a 4-3 overtime loss at Colorado on Wednesday when it visits Chicago, where the Hawks are coming off a 6-2 win against Buffalo the same night. Tampa Bay, a 5-3 home winner against Boston in Tuesday, pays a rare visit to Dallas. The Stars lost 3-2 to Detroit in a shootout in their last game on Tuesday night.
