Hurricanes obtain Dadonov in four-player deal
The Carolina Hurricanes have acquired forward Evgenii Dadonov from the Florida Panthers in a four-player trade announced Wednesday.
The Carolina Hurricanes have acquired forward Evgenii Dadonov from the Florida Panthers in a four-player trade announced Wednesday.

Along with Dadonov, the Hurricanes get forward AJ Jenks while sending the Panthers forwards Jonathan Matsumoto and Mattias Lindstrom.

Dadonov had 2 goals and 3 points in 15 games this season for the Panthers. A third-round pick by Florida in the 2007 Entry Draft, he posted 8 goals and 17 points in 36 games in 2010-11 and was one of the rookies selected for All-Star Weekend to compete in the SuperSkills competition.

Jenks was a 2008 fourth-round pick by the Panthers. He has been playing this season for the AHL San Antonio Rampage.

Matsumoto, a third-round pick by the Flyers in 2006, made his NHL debut by playing 13 games with the Hurricanes last season, scoring 2 goals. He had 13 goals and 34 points in 41 games this season for the AHL Charlotte Checkers.

Lindstrom, a third-round pick by the Hurricanes in 2009, is currently on loan to Skelleftea HC of the Swedish Elite League.
