Anderson, Stalberg and Malkin all named NHL's three stars of the week

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Ottawa Senators goalie Craig Anderson and forwards Viktor Stalberg of the Chicago Blackhawks and Evgeni Malkin of the Pittsburgh Penguins were named the NHL's three stars of the week Monday.

Anderson earned first star honours after posting a 3-0-0 record, 0.98 goals-against average, .970 save percentage and one shutout for Ottawa. Anderson, who was the third star last week, currently has a 23-12-4 record with 2.96 GAA, .907 save percentage and shutout in 41 appearances this season.

Stalberg was named the second star after registering five goals and an assist in helping Chicago earn seven of eight points and move atop the Western Conference standings. Stalberg has already posted single-season career highs in goals (14) assists (14) and points (28).

Malkin posted a league-high seven points last week (five goals, two assists) as Pittsburgh won twice in four starts. Malkin is second overall in scoring with 51 points (21 goals, 30 assists) in 37 games.
