Strome with three points to lead the IceDogs over the Sting 4-2

ST CATHARINES, Ont. - Alex Friesen and Tom Kuhnhackl scored a power-play goal each as the Niagara IceDogs defeated the Sarnia Sting 4-2 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Ryan Strome had a goal and two assists for Niagara (24-13-3), earning first star of the game, while Steven Shipley scored the other.

Ryan Spooner and Anthony DeAngelo responded for Sarnia (20-16-5).

Mark Visentin made 35 saves for the win as JP Anderson turned aside 36 shots in defeat.

The IceDogs finished the game 2 for 5 on the power play while the Sting scored twice on seven opportunities with the man advantage.
