It's a rare event when the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks meet with both looking to bounce back after losses. But that will be the case when the teams take the ice at the United Center for one of the three games on Sunday's NHL schedule.
The Wings headed for the Windy City after a 4-3 loss at Toronto on Saturday, a game in which they overcame a three-goal deficit before allowing the Leafs to score the game-winner. The Hawks have dropped three in a row, including a 4-0 home loss to Colorado on Friday.
Fans in the United States can see the game on the NBC Sports Network, beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET. Fans north of the border won't be left out -- TSN2 will air the game in Canada.
Sunday's action starts at 5 p.m. ET when the Philadelphia Flyers visit Ottawa in the second half of a home-and-home series. The Flyers got three goals by Danny Briere, the last at 4:54 of overtime, to beat the Senators 3-2 on Saturday afternoon in Philadelphia.
At 8 p.m. ET, Columbus completes a three-game swing through California with a visit to Anaheim. Both teams are coming off wins -- the Jackets blanked Los Angeles 1-0 on Saturday, while the Ducks topped the New York Islanders 4-2 on Friday.
