Stars activate Lehtonen, place Robidas on IR
The Dallas Stars on Wednesday activated goaltender Kari Lehtonen from injured reserve and placed defenseman Stephane Robidas on IR retroactive to Dec. 19.

Lehtonen, 28, has missed the last 12 games with a lower-body injury suffered on Nov. 26 against the Phoenix Coyotes. He led the NHL with 13 wins prior to his injury and has compiled a record of 13-4-1 with a 2.35 goals against average and a .926 save percentage in his 19 appearances. The Helsinki, Finland, native was the NHL’s Second Star in October, when he posted an 8-1-0 record with a .947 save percentage and a 1.75 GAA.

Robidas missed the last three games after suffering a lower-body injury against the Anaheim Ducks on Dec. 19. The 34-year-old defenseman from Sherbrooke, Que., has skated in 32 games this season for Dallas, scoring twice and adding nine assists for 11 points. Robidas has logged more than 21 minutes of ice time in 28 of his 32 appearances this season.
Quote of the Day

For our team, as a group, we've never been this far before, and so it's just more lessons learned, and sometimes you have to go to the school of hard knocks to find out what works and what doesn't. We've got a young group. They've played some unreal hockey here to get us this far, and we showed if we're not going to play the proper way, a really, really good hockey team is going to beat you, and that's what they did. It's a lesson learned.
