The NHL Network will offer hockey fans in the United States a day-night doubleheader on Saturday, highlighting a busy 12-game schedule.

The first half of the twin bill begins at 1 p.m. ET when the Montreal Canadiens come to Newark for a meeting with the New Jersey Devils. Both teams are coming off games decided in shootouts on Thursday -- the Devils beat Ottawa 5-4 while the Canadiens lost 4-3 to Vancouver. Canadian fans won't be left out of the action; they can tune in on CBC and RDS.

The second half of the NHL Network doubleheader takes place in Philadelphia, where the Flyers host the Tampa Bay Lightning in one of six games that get under way at 7 p.m. ET. Both teams are coming off 3-2 victories on Thursday -- the Flyers against Pittsburgh at home and the Lightning in a shootout against the Rangers in New York.

Also at 7, CBC and RDS will air the game between the Canucks and Senators in Ottawa. In a game that can be seen regionally in Canada on CBC, Winnipeg visits Detroit, where the Wings routed Phoenix 5-2 on Thursday. The Rangers move on to Buffalo. Pittsburgh hosts the New York Islanders, a 3-2 OT loser to Chicago on Thursday, and Boston tries to bounce back from consecutive losses to Winnipeg and Florida when it makes a rare visit to Columbus.

Three more games get under way at 8 p.m. ET. The Coyotes are back home and will try to snap Minnesota's six-game winning streak. Anaheim, a 4-2 loser at St. Louis on Thursday, visits Nashville; the Predators are home after a 4-3 OT win in Columbus on Thursday. The Blues host San Jose, which beat Dallas 5-2 on Thursday.

At 10 p.m. ET, CBC will air the third game of its "Hockey Night in Canada" tripleheader when the Oilers visit Calgary in a rematch of their game last week in Edmonton -- a 5-3 victory for the Flames. A half-hour later, Los Angeles tries to bounce back from Thursday's 4-2 home loss to Minnesota when it hosts Dallas.
