Stars deal Barch to Panthers
The Dallas Stars traded forward Krystofer Barch and a sixth-round pick in 2012 to the Florida Panthers in exchange for prospect Jake Hauswirth and a fifth-round pick in 2012.

Barch has no points in 10 games this season. He's known more for his fighting than his scoring -- in 263 career games, he has 10 goals and 578 penalty minutes.

Hauswirth, 23, has bounced from the Washington Capitals to the Panthers but has yet to play in the NHL. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Capitals in 2009 and traded to the Panthers last year along with a third-round draft pick in exchange for defenseman Dennis Wideman.
