The Detroit Red Wings' quest to begin a new winning streak will be televised across the United States and Canada on Tuesday night.

The Red Wings (16-8-1), who saw their seven-game streak come to an end with Sunday's 4-2 loss at Colorado, will visit the St. Louis Blues at the Scottrade Center. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m. ET and the showdown be seen on VERSUS in the U.S. and TSN2 in Canada.

St. Louis (14-9-3) will be looking to avoid a third straight loss. The Blues trails the Wings by just two points for second place in the Central Division. They opened their five-game homestand with a 5-2 loss to Chicago on Saturday night.

The Detroit-St. Louis match is one of 10 games on the NHL schedule Tuesday night.
Quote of the Day

The groove of being behind a bench is going to be interesting at first, but thank God we have a few exhibition games to get rid of those cobwebs. Overall the excitement of it all and the freshness and coming back refreshed, all those things are going to be assets. If [the players] come ready to give their best effort in practice and games, good things are going to happen. I'm always looking for results. It's not always on the scoreboard. It's winning and building something.
