The Detroit Red Wings ended November as one of the NHL's hottest teams, and the NHL Network will be on hand to see if the Wings' winning ways will continue in December.

Detroit pays a visit to Buffalo in one of six games on Friday's schedule. The Wings are coming off a 3-1 home win against Tampa Bay on Wednesday, while the injury-plagued Sabres have had a couple of days to rest up following Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the New York Islanders.

The NHL Network will air the game to viewers in the United States, beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET.

A half-hour later, the Minnesota Wild -- which entered December at the top of the overall standings -- host New Jersey. Both teams played Wednesday; the Devils were whipped 6-1 in Colorado, while the Wild fell behind 2-0 at Edmonton but rallied for a 3-2 shootout win.

At 8:30, the Islanders move on to Chicago, where the Hawks have had two days to think about their 4-1 home loss to Phoenix on Tuesday. St. Louis, a 2-1 winner at Washington on Tuesday, visits Colorado for a 9 p.m. ET start, and Columbus is at Edmonton at 9:30.

In the final game of the night, Bruce Boudreau makes his debut as coach of the Ducks when Philadelphia comes to Anaheim for a 10 p.m. ET start. Boudreau was hired to replace Randy Carlyle after the Ducks beat Montreal 4-1 on Wednesday to end a seven-game slide. The Flyers haven't played since losing 2-0 to the Rangers in New York last Friday.
