Leach scores twice to lift the Ice over the Thunderbirds 5-1

CRANBROOK, B.C. - Joey Leach scored two goals to lift the Kootenay Ice over the Seattle Thunderbirds 5-1 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.

Dylen McKinlay, Joe Antilla and Brock Montgomery also scored for the Ice (13-4-3).

Justin Hickman scored the lone goal for the Thunderbirds (7-11-0).

Mackenzie Skapski wasn't very busy in goal as he stopped 13 of the 14 shots he faced while Daniel Cotton made 27 saves in defeat.

Both clubs went 1-for-5 with the man advantage.
