Though Miller’s poor stretch of play has baffled and frustrated many of his fantasy owners, there is really not much they can or should do at this point. Miller is one of the most established goalies in the game playing in the prime of his career. At this point, any funk he is in cannot be considered anything more than a rough patch. Given his track record, there is no reason to think Miller can’t or won’t turn things around and put up numbers which would warrant his lofty expectations as the No. 5 goalie in NHL.com's fantasy hockey expert Matt Cubeta’s preseason rankings.
The best advice to offer fantasy GMs on what to do with Miller is simple: nothing. For the time being you need to keep running Miller out there as his play can pick up at any time. You can bet there will be vultures looking to swoop in with sub-standard offers in an attempt to steal him away amidst struggles. It is way too early to start thinking of selling low on Miller and clearly now is not the best time to start shopping him around. Stick with Miller through his struggles and you’ll be happy you did.
