From great finishes to lunging saves, this week featured plenty of incredible highlights to chose from. All three plays from this week's nominees occured on Tuesday night.
First we saw Buffalo defenseman Robyn Regehr thump Tampa Bay captain Vincent Lecavalier. Lecavalier went to dump the puck in front of the Buffalo bench, and Regehr stepped up to hammer Vinny into the boards.
Then we witnessed a remarkable play from Chicago's Patrick Kane. The crafty forward skated down the right wing with his head up the whole way. He then worked over a defenseman to make a flawless tape-to-tape spin-o-rama pass to teammate Marian Hossa, who quickly buried the puck past Jonas Hiller.
Later that same night Cory Schneider made arguably the save of the year against Jordan Eberle of the Oilers. Eberle was left at the doorstep staring at an open net, but the Canucks goaltender dove across for an incredible glove save.
