Two of the more exciting teams in the Eastern Conference will face each other in front of a nationally-televised audience Tuesday night.
The Buffalo Sabres, who are off to a 5-2-0 start, will host the Tampa Bay Lightning (3-3-2) in the second game of a home-and-home series at First Niagara Center. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m. ET and can be seen on VERSUS in the United States and TSN2 in Canada.
After a sluggish 1-3-2 start, Tampa Bay will be seeking its third straight win Tuesday. Surprisingly, defenseman Marc-Andre Bergeron currently leads the club with 9 points (2 goals, 7 assists). Buffalo, meanwhile, had won three straight before suffering a 3-0 loss to the Bolts on Saturday night. Mathieu Garon made 21 saves for the Lightning and earned his first shutout in 11 months.
Canadian fans will be treated to a second nationally-televised game as the Carolina Hurricanes (3-3-2) face the Ottawa Senators at the RBC Center. That game begins at 7 p.m. ET and can be seen on TSN and RDS2.
