Sarnia's Nail Yakupov, Red Deer's Patrik Bartosak win weekly CHL awards

TORONTO - Nail Yakupov of the Sarnia Sting was named the Canadian Hockey League's player of the week Tuesday.

Yakupov had 12 points (two goals, 10 assists) in four games with a plus-8 rating.

The 18-year-old Russian leads the Ontario Hockey League with 25 points (seven goals, 18 assists) in 10 games.

Sven Bartschi of the Portland Winterhawks and Jerome Raymond of the Drummondville Voltigeurs were also considered for the award.

Patrik Bartosak of the Red Deer Rebels earned the weekly goaltender award.

Bartosak went 2-0-0 with a 1.00 goals-against average and a .966 save percentage, including a 30-save performance in a 4-1 win over Lethbridge.

Maxime Lagace of the P.E.I. Rocket and Keegan Wilson of the Brampton Battalion were also nominated for the award.
