It'll be a busy weekend for NHL Network viewers in Canada and the United States, highlighted by a pair of home openers and a meeting between the last two Stanley Cup champions.

The network will air both games on Friday's schedule to Canadian viewers. Buffalo begins its home schedule after sweeping both of its games during the Compuware NHL Premiere series by hosting the Carolina Hurricanes at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Sabres have been off since their 4-2 victory against Anaheim in Berlin last Saturday.

The Anaheim Ducks, who lost to Buffalo on Friday before beating the New York Rangers in a shootout in Stockholm on Saturday, also begin their home schedule when they host San Jose. The Sharks have also been off since Saturday, when they beat the Phoenix Coyotes 6-3 in their season-opener.

The NHL's last two champions get together on Saturday when the Boston Bruins, who ended a 39-year drought when they won last spring, visit Chicago, the 2010 champs, for an 8:30 p.m. ET start that can be seen on the NHL Network in the United States.

The busy weekend concludes Sunday when the St. Louis Blues visit the Ducks for an 8 p.m. ET start that can be seen by NHL Network viewers in Canada.
