NHL Network has all you need opening night
Thursday marks the opening of the 2011-12 NHL season, and the NHL Network will have everything fans could want to celebrate Opening Day.

Starting at 3 p.m. ET and taking you right up to the drop of the first puck, NHL Network will get you ready for first three games of the season with four hours of coverage originating from its set in Boston, where the Bruins will raise their Stanley Cup banner to the roof of TD Garden prior to facing the Philadelphia Flyers (7 p.m. ET, Versus).

NHL Network also will bring fans a preview of the Montreal Canadiens' visit to the Toronto Maple Leafs (7 p.m. ET, CBC, RDS) and the Western Conference champion Vancouver Canucks, who will open their season against the Pittsburgh Penguins (10 p.m. ET, Versus, CBC).

The NHL Network also will bring fans coverage of the 2011 Molson Canadian NHL Face-Off festivities in Winnipeg. The famed section of town called "The Forks" will be transformed into hockey central, with games, prizes and live entertainment.

Stay tuned after the games for the NHL Network's post-game show, which will feature highlights of all the action from opening night.
