Kings General Manager Dean Lombardi believes Drew Doughty will play in Los Angeles for a long time, but when the team opened training camp for physicals and fitness testing, the restricted free agent defenseman was absent.

Lombardi spoke with Kings Insider Rich Hammond on Friday, and in their discussion, Lombardi talked about what's next in negotiations between the team and Doughty, and how Doughty's continued absence from training camp will affect the club's next contract offer.
