With the Canucks coming off a dramatic, emotional Game 7 victory against Chicago in the first round just days before, a road win was there for the taking for the Preds. But despite Pekka Rinne's stellar 29-save performance, the Canucks prevailed, as Chris Higgins tallied the game's lone tally in the second period.
Most surprising was the Canucks' energy throughout the game, despite being the less-rested club. The Predators couldn't take advantage and recorded only 20 shots on Canucks netminder Roberto Luongo.
Still, when all was said and done, the game was close and the Predators showed why they wouldn't be a pushover in the series.
