Eminger re-signs with Rangers
Steve Eminger will be staying in New York.

The Ranges announced Monday that they have agreed to terms on a new deal for the 27-year-old defenseman. Eminger skated in 65 games with New York last season, tallying 2 goals and 4 assists. He also had 22 penalty minutes and ranked third on the club with 101 blocked shots.

Eminger (6-foot-2, 203 pounds) has appeared in 411 career games with the Rangers, Anaheim Ducks, Florida Panthers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Philadelphia Flyers and Washington Capitals, registering 17 goals and 74 assists for 91 points, along with 323 penalty minutes.

The Woodbridge, Ont. native was acquired by the Rangers from the Ducks in exchange for forwards Aaron Voros and Ryan Hillier on July 9, 2010. He was originally selected as Washington's first-round choice (No. 12) at the 2002 Entry Draft.
Quote of the Day

It was a different game in the past, that's for sure. It's not exactly what I was expecting but I think the experience paid off for a lot of our guys that realized what it takes in a Game 7. Realistically the effort we put forward, we might not even had to put 60 [minutes], but we just couldn't get a couple bounces to go our way and we just kept pushing.
