After scoring 16 points in 35 games with the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, Boyce was called up to the Maple Leafs on Dec. 30, and never was sent back down. He had 5 goals and 8 assists in 46 games, and his plus-8 rating was second on the team. He had an even or plus rating in 36 of the 46 games he played.
Boyce originally was signed by the Maple Leafs as an unrestricted free agent Jan. 1, 2008.
