Erasing a three-game deficit in the playoffs is no easy feat. Nor is completing two consecutive come-from-behind wins, but that’s what the Detroit Red Wings did in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals against the San Jose Sharks.
After San Jose rookie Logan Couture tapped a loose puck past Jimmy Howard early in the third period the Red Wings answered with three consecutive goals to force a Game 7. Pavel Datsyuk earned first star of the game honors for setting up the game-winning goal with a slick backhand pass and Valtteri Filppula notched two assists in the contest.
