Avalanche re-sign Galiardi, add Rissmiller
The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today that the team has signed forward T.J. Galiardi to a one-year contract through the 2011-12 season.
The Colorado Avalanche re-signed restricted free-agent forward T.J. Galiardi to a one-year contract Tuesday. Terms of the deal were not revealed but the Denver Post is reporting it to be a one-year, $700,000 contract.

Wrist and forearm Injuries limited the 23-year-old left wing to just 35 games, during which he had 7 goals and 8 assists. His season ended Feb. 9 when he injured his forearm during a game against Minnesota.

"We are glad to have T.J. under contract," said Avalanche General Manager/ Executive Vice President Greg Sherman. "We expect him to report to camp fully healthy and ready to go."

A 2007 second-round pick of the Avs, Galiardi has 25 goals and 33 points in 116 NHL games.

The Avs also signed unrestricted free-agent forward Patrick Rissmiller, 32, to a one-year contract. Terms of that deal were not released.

Rissmiller played for five teams last season. He had 1 assist in 10 NHL games with the Atlanta Thrashers and Florida Panthers, and 14 goals in 57 AHL games with the Chicago Wolves, Lake Erie Monsters and Rochester Americans.

In 192 NHL games with the Sharks, Rangers, Thrashers and Panthers, Rissmiller has 18 goals and 46 points.
