Blackhawks re-sign Stalberg to two-year deal
The Chicago Blackhawks announced Sunday they have agreed to terms with forward Viktor Stalberg on a two-year contract.
The Chicago Blackhawks announced Sunday they have agreed to terms with forward Viktor Stalberg on a two-year contract.

Stalberg, 25, registered 12 goals, including three game-winning markers, 12 assists and 43 penalty minutes in 77 regular-season contests during the 2010-11 campaign, his first season with the Blackhawks. He also ranked fourth among club forwards with 102 hits and added one goal and five penalty minutes in seven postseason tilts in his Stanley Cup Playoffs debut.

Acquired from Toronto on June 30, 2010, Stalberg was originally selected by the Maple Leafs in the sixth round of the 2006 Entry Draft. The Gothenberg, Sweden, native has tallied 21 goals, 17 assists and 73 penalty minutes in 117 career regular-season games over parts of two NHL seasons with Toronto (2009-10) and Chicago. He also notched 12 goals and 33 points in 39 American Hockey League games with the Toronto Marlies during the 2009-10 season.
