Canucks swap Shirokov for Panthers' Duco
The Florida Panthers traded the rights to minor-league tough guy Mike Duco to the Vancouver Canucks for the rights to Sergei Shirokov.
The Florida Panthers traded the rights to minor-league tough guy Mike Duco to the Vancouver Canucks for the rights to Sergei Shirokov.

Duco has played in 12 career NHL games, with no points but 60 penalty minutes. He had 20 goals, 31 points and 126 penalty minutes for Rochester of the AHL.

Shirokov had a goal in two games for the Canucks last season. He was a sixth-round pick in the 2006 Entry Draft. He had 22 goals and 58 points in 76 games for Manitoba in the AHL in 2010-11.

Both players are restricted free agents.
