Senators sign Parrish to one-year deal
The Ottawa Senators signed veteran forward Mark Parrish to a one-year, two-way contract on Friday morning.
The Ottawa Senators signed veteran forward Mark Parrish to a one-year, two-way contract on Friday morning.

Parrish, 34, spent last season with the Buffalo Sabres organization, playing 56 games with the American Hockey League's Portland Pirates. He had 17 goals, 34 assists and 12 penalty minutes. Parrish was also held scoreless in two games with the Sabres.

The 5-11, 199-pound native of Bloomington, Minn., has appeared in 722 career NHL games with the Florida Panthers, New York Islanders, Los Angeles Kings, Dallas Stars, Tampa Bay Lightning and Buffalo. He has scored 216 goals and added 171 assists for 387 career points.

Parrish has scored 20 or more goals in the NHL on six different occasions and played for Team North America in the 2002 NHL All-Star Game held in Los Angeles.

Parrish was originally drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in the third round (No. 79) of the 1996 Entry Draft.
