TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs signed forward Philippe Dupuis and defenceman Matt Lashoff to one-year contracts on Thursday.

Dupuis arrives after playing his first full season with the Colorado Avalanche, where he had 17 points (6-11) in 74 games.

The 26-year-old has appeared in 86 career games.

Lashoff spent the majority of last season with the American Hockey League's Toronto Marlies.

The 24-year-old blue-liner appeared in 11 games for the Maple Leafs, collecting one assist.

Quote of the Day

He's, believe it or not, actually one of my favorite guys, and I've ended up trading him twice. I appreciate what he's done. He was one year away from being an unrestricted free agent, and I felt with this opportunity, that it was a chance that we were able to get somebody for him in Nick Bonino and Adam Clendening.
