See Lecavalier, St. Louis help Bolts take command with Game 2 win
All summer long, NHL Network will be replaying the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs -- from every jaw-dropping goal to every highlight-reel save to every crushing defeat.

Each game of the postseason -- spanning the more than two-month period from the opening round to Boston's Game 7 clincher of the Stanley Cup Final -- will be shown on the Network throughout the offseason.

After setting the tone with a 4-2 victory in the series opener, the Tampa Bay Lightning were in position to take control of this Eastern Conference semifinal. Veterans Martin St. Louis and Vincent Lecavalier, who orchestrated the Bolts' 2004 Stanley Cup run, knew the importance of stealing Game 2 at the Verizon Center.

And they played like it.

St. Louis found Lecavalier at the 19:01 mark in the first period to open the scoring, and the duo didn't stop there. St. Louis broke a 1-1 tie in the third period by notching a timely goal to put Tampa Bay in front with a chance to seize command in the series. But after star forward Alex Ovechkin kept Washington's hopes alive with a back-breaking goal with 1:08 remaining in the third, the Bolts looked to a wily veteran and found reassurance.

Lecavalier dashed Washington's hopes by netting the overtime winner 6:19 into the extra session, as Tampa Bay prevailed 3-2 to grab a shocking 2-0 edge in the series heading to St. Pete Times Forum.
