Brouwer signs two-year deal with Capitals
The Washington Capitals have signed right wing Troy Brouwer to a two-year contract. TSN is reporting the total value of the deal to be $4.7 million.
The Washington Capitals have signed right wing Troy Brouwer to a two-year contract. TSN is reporting the total value of the deal to be $4.7 million.

A restricted free agent, Brouwer had been acquired from the Chicago Blackhawks during the 2011 Entry Draft in exchange for the 26th pick of the first round.

Brouwer, 25, had 17 goals and a personal-best 19 assists in 79 games last season. He set career-bests of 22 goals and 40 points during the 2009-10 season, and had 4 goals and 4 assists in 19 games to the help the Blackhawks win the 2010 Stanley Cup.

A 2004 seventh-round pick of the Blackhawks, the 6-foot-3, 215-pound forward has 49 goals and 54 assists in 238 NHL games.
