Veteran forward Scott Nichol found a new home Tuesday, agreeing to a one-year contract with the St. Louis Blues.
"Scott is an experienced, honest player and an excellent face off guy," St. Louis General Manager Doug Armstrong said. "He will provide a positive veteran presence to complement our current group."
Nichol, 36, had 4 goals and 7 points in 56 games this past season for San Jose. A former 11th-round pick by Buffalo in the 1993 Entry Draft, the 5-foot-9, 180-pound forward has played 552 games over 11 seasons with the Sabres, Flames, Blackhawks, Predators and Sharks, compiling 52 goals, 118 points and 808 penalty minutes.
