NHL Network and NHL.com wrap up thrilling season with full coverage of 2011 NHL Awards
NHL Network and NHL.com will provide comprehensive coverage of the season's final event this week when NHL stars gather in Las Vegas for the 2011 NHL Awards.
NHL Network and NHL.com will provide comprehensive coverage of the season's final event this week when NHL stars gather in Las Vegas for the 2011 NHL Awards.  NHL Network will carry four hours of live programming on Wednesday, June 22, while NHL.com will deploy a team of writers and videographers to cover the event and each Award winner.

NHL Network's Awards coverage begins with a one-hour NHL Live at 4:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday.  The show, streamed live on NHL.com, will broadcast from its Manhattan studio with NHL Insider EJ Hradek and Bill Pidto, host of NHL Overtime on VERSUS.  NHL Live will preview all of the Award finalists and make predictions about who is going to walk away with this year's hardware. The interactive show, which incorporates fans' voices from a social media and phone call perspective will also have live interviews from the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas as preparations for the 2011 Awards show gets underway.

Following NHL Live, a two-hour program -- 2011 NHL Network Awards Red Carpet Presented by Geico -- originating from the Awards venue, will take to the airwaves at 5:00 p.m. ET.  NHL Live™ host Deb Placey, NHL On The Fly™ regular Kevin Weekes and former NHLer Jeremy Roenick will anchor the pre-Awards coverage from the red carpet and set location inside the theatre as award finalists and their families walk the carpet, sign autographs and make their way into the auditorium.  They will have a complete review of the finalists and highlight the plays, saves and off-ice contributions to their communities that make each player a contender for these accolades.

Reporters Michelle Beisner and Heidi Androl will be on hand to interview finalists and fans, get their award predictions and, of course, report on all of the red carpet style and fashion.

The 2011 NHL Awards Show will be broadcast live on VERSUS in the United States and CBC in Canada beginning at 7 p.m. ET. Immediately following on NHL Network, the 2011 NHL Awards Recap Show Presented by Geico will have player interviews, entertainment acts and a sneak peek into the post-event celebration at the Palms Hotel and Casino.

NHL.com's on-site coverage will top off a month-long campaign of Awards predictions and behind-the-scenes footage -- including a private video shoot with Carolina Hurricane and Calder Trophy finalist Jeff Skinner and interviews with musical guests.  Day-of features include video from the players' green room, backstage access and live streaming of the 2011 NHL Network Awards Red Carpet Presented by Geico.  Fans can follow the event via live blog, tweets and breaking news ticker on NHL.com's dedicated Awards microsite.
