NHL Network to air Stanley Cup victory parade
NEW YORK – On Wednesday night the Boston Bruins captured their sixth Stanley Cup since joining the NHL in 1924-25 and their first championship since 1972.  With all the hard work over, it's time for the team to celebrate their Stanley Cup victory with the entire New England region.

On Saturday, June 18, beginning at 10 a.m. ET, NHL Network™ will telecast New England Sports Network's live HD coverage of the Bruins' Stanley Cup victory parade and rally as players and team management salute their fans from TD Garden to Copley Plaza in downtown Boston.  The broadcast will be blacked out in Boston where local fans can tune in to watch the event unfold on NESN.  NHL.com will also stream the parade events live beginning at 10 a.m. ET.

For fans who might have missed it the first time around, NHL Network will show an encore presentation of the parade at 1 p.m. ET, immediately following the live broadcast.

After a grueling, 82-game regular season and 25 playoff games, the Zdeno Chara-led Bruins will bring Lord Stanley to meet their fans.  The city of Boston will celebrate again -- this will be the city's seventh championship parade in the past decade, following celebrations for the Patriots, Red Sox and Celtics.

Beginning on Friday, June 17, NHL Network US will carry a special programming schedule entitled "Path to the Cup", which will allow viewers to watch each Bruins' game in the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs culminating with their capture of the most recognizable trophy in all of sports -- The Stanley Cup.  The series of rebroadcasts will begin with the seven games it took to triumph over the Montreal Canadiens in the Conference Quarter-finals then proceed to the second-round sweep of the Philadelphia Flyers, the marathon seven-game series with the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Eastern Conference Final and the rollicking Final that concluded with the Game 7 victory over the Vancouver Canucks that earned the Bruins the title of Stanley Cup Champions.
