Highlights of the night

BOSTON -- Behind a dominating 4-0 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday night, the Boston Bruins tied the Stanley Cup Final at two games apiece.

The series now shifts back to Vancouver for Game 5 on Friday night, and one has to think the Bruins are bringing plenty of momentum with them. 
 
Save of the Game: Although Tim Thomas made 38 saves, he didn't exactly steal the show. Thomas' most impressive save came with the game already out of hand, when it was 4-0 with 7 minutes left in the third period. Canucks defenseman Christian Ehrhoff wound up and blasted a puck on Thomas from the high slot through traffic. Playing the shot aggressively, Thomas came in front of his crease to make the initial save. With the puck trickling towards the goal line, Thomas reached back with his glove to cover up the puck.
 
Shift of the Game: With the score 2-0 in the second period, Andrew Alberts and Rich Peverley were handed penalties at 12:05, creating a 4-on-4 situation. With the help of defenseman Zdeno Chara, Bruins' forwards Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand went to work to create a bigger margin in the score line. Chara made a nice play to keep the puck in the zone and sent it down low. Bergeron knocked down Canucks' defenseman Keith Ballard behind the net. Ballard was slow to get up and Bergeron took advantage knocking the puck away from Henrik Sedin and then chipping it to Marchand in front of the net.  Marchand went to the backhand to beat Luongo and give the Bruins a three-goal lead.

 
Stat of the Game: Combined with an 8-1 victory in Game 3, the Bruins have now scored 12 of the last 13 goals of the series.  Despite being only two games away from clinching the Stanley Cup, Vancouver has now given up 60 goals, and scored 55 throughout the postseason.
 
Star of the Game: Despite only scoring two goals in 21 playoff games coming into Game 4, it was the Bruins' Rich Peverley helping lead Boston to a win with two goals. Peverley got the Bruins on the board at 11:59 of the first period after a nice play by David Krejci sprung Peverley in on a breakaway against Luongo. Peverley beat him five-hole for the early lead. With the score 3-0 in the third, Peverley drove to the net hard as Milan Lucic brought the puck down the right wing side. Lucic put it towards the net and the puck deflected legally off Peverley's skate into the net.
 
Moment of the Game: Before the puck even dropped, TD Garden was rocking as the most legendary defenseman in NHL history, Bobby Orr, was in the house. Orr was the honorary team captain. In this role, Orr, among the Bruins' fans in the loge section, started waving an enormous flag bearing the Bruins' logo, which was then sent around the entire lower bowl of the arena. Orr's cup-clinching goal in the 1970 Stanley Cup Final was recently named the greatest playoff moment in NHL history in NHL.com's History vs. History fan vote.

What's Next?: The Bruins and Canucks will break the 2-2 series tie Friday night from Rogers Arena in Vancouver.
