Canucks' Bolduc says he's in for Game 3
Alexandre Bolduc reportedly told one of the Vancouver television stations that he is going to play in Game 3, with Cody Hodgson likely coming out of the lineup.
SAN JOSE -- Normally the team leading in a series and coming off a blowout victory doesn't make any lineup changes. Well, apparently Canucks coach Alain Vigneault doesn't believe in that philosophy because he did not rule out making lineup changes for Game 3 at HP Pavilion (9 p.m. ET, CBC, VERSUS, RDS).

While Vigneault confirmed nothing at the morning skate Friday, Alexandre Bolduc reportedly told one of the Vancouver television stations that he is going to play. Bolduc, who was the only one of the Canucks' Black Aces (their call-ups from the Manitoba Moose) to join the team on this trip, would draw in for rookie center Cody Hodgson, who played only 6:43 in Game 2 despite the lopsided score.

"Throughout the playoffs we've always put the 20 skaters that we felt would give us the best chance to win on that night," Vigneault said. "Throughout the season, we did the same thing. Sometimes you've got to make some adjustments. Sometimes players are off their game a little bit or not on top, and you need to make quick adjustments."

Vigneault likes Bolduc because he's another big body he could use. Bolduc is 6-1 and 200 pounds. He played 24 games for the Canucks in the regular season and contributed 2 goals and 2 assists. He last played on March 31.

Bolduc had 4 goals in 14 Calder Cup Playoff games for the Moose. He had 6 goals and 9 assists in 24 regular-season AHL games.

"Alex has good size, a real strong skater," Vigneault said. "We've seen him this year. He's played over 20 games with our team. He has that ability to get in on the forecheck, real strong skater. If we do make some changes, that's what he can bring."
