Clowe, Franzen game-time decisions
Question marks are hanging over two key power forwards heading into Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinal series between the Detroit Red Wings and San Jose Sharks (9 p.m. ET, VERSUS, TSN, RDS).

Sharks forward Ryane Clowe, who sat out Game 6 with an upper-body injury, took part in Thursday's morning skate, and has been ruled a game-time decision. He was on the ice for about 20 minutes, skating with assistant coach Jay Woodcroft.

"He's feeling pretty good," said Sharks coach Todd McLellan. "It's important that we take care of the individual as far as heath goes. We don't want to put him in a situation where the run that risk (of aggravating the injury)."

Clowe's return would go a big way in helping the Sharks avoid making history as the fourth team ever to lose a 3-0 series lead. He leads the team in scoring with 13 points, and his 9 assists are third among all postseason players.

"He's one of our best players," Logan Couture said of Clowe. "I'm happy that he was skating. I won't know and no one will know if he's playing until later today. We'll see what happens."

The same holds true for Red Wings forward Johan Franzen, who hasn't played since leaving Game 5 in the third period with a lower-body injury.

Franzen also skated Thursday, and Red Wings coach Mike Babcock said his availability would be a game-time decision. Franzen has 2 goals in eight games.
