Krejci does it all for Bruins in Game 3

BOSTON -- David Krejci's fingerprints were all over Boston's 5-1 victory in Game 3.

The Bruins center had his team's second goal, just 63 seconds into the contest, which proved to be the game-winner. He also had an assist on Nathan Horton's goal, which made it 4-1. He also added an assist on the game-closing 5-on-3 goal, which ended Boston's power-play drought at 30 unsuccessful attempts.

Plus, Krejci was a perfect 8-for-8 in the faceoff circle, leading Boston's 43-12 dominance on draws.

In the three games, Krejci now has 4 goals and 4 assists against the Flyers after managing just a solitary point against the Canadiens in the first round.

And, he will be around to continue to try to torment the Flyers in Game 4 this year. In last year's matchup, a huge open-ice hit by Philadelphia's Mike Richards on Krejci in Game 3 resulted in a broken wrist for Krejci and the end to his season. Boston's season ended four losses later, making them just the third team in the history of the Stanley Cup Playoffs to blow a 3-0 lead in a best-of-seven series.

After Wednesday's game, Krejci talked about his performance, the team's history against these Flyers and what lies ahead for the Bruins in Friday's Game 4 here.

Q: Was tonight a complete effort for you guys?
A: Yeah, I think we brought our game to them right from the beginning, and we controlled the game from there.

Q: How is this Bruins team different from last season's team?
A: First of all, we have about half the guys weren't here last year. It's a deeper -- we have bigger depth in our lineup, and we felt good in the first round. So hopefully that's going to help us in the second round, too.

Q: How do you prepare over the course of the next two days leading to Game 4?
A: It's, don't think about it too much. Keep playing the way we are, and like I said before, game by game, and that doesn't change until it's actually over.

Q: Have the Flyers played you differently than Montreal did in Round 1 because you have been much more productive?
A: Well, they're playing me hard; that's for sure. They're letting me know that it's going to be a tough one, but the puck's going in for me. That's the biggest difference from the (last) series.

Q: Is there a satisfaction in playing well against the Flyers after getting knocked out of the playoffs in Game 3 against the Flyers last season?
A: Last year we had a good chance to play in the (Eastern) Conference Final, and we'll see what, who knows what could happen. So this year we just really want to beat these guys and get to the Conference Final and go from there.

Q: Was it nice to finally get that first power-play goal?
A: I guess so, but I wouldn't pay too much attention to it. Our 5-on-5 has been really great so far. So yeah, it's nice to get one finally, but nothing really changed.

Q: What happened on your goal?
A: It was a good start by our first two lines, and I just threw the puck deep and go after it, and (Milan Lucic) made a great backhand pass. And that was kind of lucky for me that it kind of floated in, but I'll take it. So it was a big one for us to get that in.

Q: What was the difference on the faceoffs tonight compared to Game 2?
A: It was just one of these days, one day you have a good day like we did today and it could go the other way, you know. I think nothing really special or anything, just got to make sure that next game we're great again on these draws.
