Coyotes sign ex-Miami of Ohio star Andy Miele

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - The Phoenix Coyotes say they've signed free-agent center Andy Miele to an entry-level contract.

Terms were not announced Saturday.

Miele (MEE-LEE) led the NCAA in scoring this season as a senior at Miami of Ohio with 24 goals and 47 assists in just 39 games. He's one of three finalists for the Hobey Baker Award as college hockey's top player.

The 22-year-old Miele is expected to join the Coyotes for practice Monday morning at Jobing.com Arena in Glendale.
