Red-hot Washington goes for its 12th win in 13 tries when it visits Ottawa, a game that can be seen in Canada on TSN and RDS. The Senators are back home after Thursday night's 2-1 shootout win in New York. The Caps also won their last game in a shootout, 5-4 at Philadelphia on Tuesday.
Vancouver, the front-runner in the West, continues a road trip with a visit to Atlanta. Both teams are coming off 2-1 road victories -- the Canucks at Detroit on Wednesday, the Thrashers against the New York Islanders on Thursday.
The evening's action gets under way at 7 p.m. ET when the Pittsburgh Penguins host New Jersey. Pittsburgh is back at the Consol Energy Center after Thursday's 2-1 shootout win at Philadelphia, while the Devils have been off for two days after losing 4-1 at Boston on Tuesday.
