NBC Sports will air the New York Rangers at Philadelphia Flyers game as its “NHL Game of the Week” on Sunday, April 3. The game at the Wells Fargo Center will start at 12:30 p.m. ET.
It's the final meeting of the season between the teams, both of whom are among the top eight in the Eastern Conference. Philadelphia has won four of the first five.
The Flyers have won the last four meetings in Philadelphia, including a season-ending 2-1 shootout win last April 11 that sent Philadelphia to the Stanley Cup Playoffs and ended the Rangers' season.
The Flyers enter Thursday's games leading both the Atlantic Division and Eastern Conference with a record of 43-19-7, good for 93 pts. The Rangers are third in the Atlantic Division standings and seventh in the Eastern Conference with a record of 37-30-4 and 78 pts.
It's an incredible feeling just to see it go in and see the Joe go pretty crazy. Ever since the introduction there, I was kind of feeling the nerves, and to put that one home, I started to feel comfortable and I thought my play started to pick up.
— Nineteen-year-old Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin after scoring a goal in his NHL debut
