GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Phoenix Coyotes played Thursday's game against the Atlanta Thrashers without two veterans who were late scratches.

Left wing Taylor Pyatt did not take part in the pregame skate Thursday night and is sitting out with an  upper body injury. Mikkel Boedker filled in for Pyatt, who has 2 goals and 2 assists in the last five games.

Defenseman Adrian Aucoin took part in the pregame skate but has been nursing a lower-body injury and was unable to play. Rookie Oliver-Ekman Larsson, a healthy scratch in the last two games, replaced Aucoin.
