BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - The start time for the Buffalo Sabres home game against the Washington Capitals on Feb. 20 has been moved up to 12:30 p.m. to accommodate television scheduling.
The change was announced by the Sabres on Wednesday after NBC reached a deal to broadcast four games on that date as part of its Hockey Day in America coverage. Sabres-Capitals was originally scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
We're buyers. We're committed to winning. That's what [owner Vinnie Viola] has said all along and what we've said all along. We want to win. We want to win a championship. We're putting the pieces together, step by step, and we're hopeful that Jaromir can lead these young guys to the promised land. It's a win-win for us.
