Couturier, the Drummondville Voltigeurs center rated as the No. 2 North American skater in NHL Central Scouting's mid-term rankings, will captain Team Cherry.
Couturier won a silver medal with Canada at the World Junior Championship earlier this month, and currently is 10th in the QMJHL in scoring with 56 points in 34 games.
Portland Winterhawks right wing Ty Rattie and Kitchener Rangers defenseman Ryan Murphy will serve as alternate captains. Murphy is No. 10 on Central Scouting's list -- and No. 3 among defensemen -- while Rattie is No. 11.
Nugent-Hopkins leads the WHL with 41 assists and is 10th in scoring with 52 points.
Saint John Sea Dogs center Jonathan Huberdeau and Niagara IceDogs defenseman Dougie Hamilton will serve as alternate captains. Huberdeau is No. 4 on Central Scouting's list, while Hamilton is No. 7 as well as the top-rated defenseman.
The Top Prospects Game will be held Jan. 18-19 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto and feature 40 of the top prospects for the 2011 Entry Draft currently playing in the Canadian Hockey League.
There will be a skills competition on Jan. 18, and the Top Prospects Game will be played Jan. 19. The game will be televised on the NHL Network-U.S. at 2 p.m. on Jan. 20 and Jan. 22.
