Phoenix Coyotes goalie Ilya Bryzgalov practiced with teammates on Monday and will dress for Tuesday night's game against the Anaheim Ducks at Jobing.com Arena.
"He's ready to go," Coyotes coach Dave Tippett said. "He's 100 percent."
Bryzgalov has missed five games since suffering an upper-body injury against New Jersey on Dec. 15. Backup goalie Jason LaBarbera posted a 2-2-1 record in the five games he started in place of Bryzgalov, and recorded a 30-save shutout against Dallas on Sunday night.
The 30-year-old goaltender has appeared in 26 games for Phoenix this season and is 12-6-6 with a 2.56 goals-against average and .920 save percentage. He's hoping to play against the Ducks, but Tippett did not commit to that on Monday. Bryzgalov was claimed off waivers from Anaheim in 2007.
"I'm very happy," Bryzgalov said. "(For) 10 days I very much didn't do anything and I missed the hockey so much and I missed the team … It will be a special night to play against your former team. It's nice. I'm very excited."
